PPS uses purpose-built credentialing software to run our book of business. We can also recommend and implement credentialing software for practices managing in-house.

Credentialing at scale isn’t a spreadsheet problem. A practice managing 5+ providers across 15+ payers is tracking somewhere between 150 and 300 active credentialing data points — expirations, attestations, application dates, effective dates, recredentialing windows, license renewals — and a single missed window can take a provider out of network without notice. PPS runs our book on purpose-built credentialing software and we can implement and configure it for practices that want to manage credentialing in-house.

  • Software selection — which credentialing platform fits your roster size, payer mix, and budget. Most common: Modio Health, Verifiable, CredentialStream, MedTrainer.
  • Migration — current provider data, document repository, expiration tracking moved into the chosen platform.
  • Workflow configuration — re-attestation alerts, recredentialing triggers, document-refresh cadence.
  • Staff training — your credentialer learns the platform.
  • Optional ongoing support — quarterly system review and configuration tuning.

When you should outsource instead

If you don’t have a dedicated credentialer on staff, software won’t save you. The software is leverage on top of a credentialer’s work, not a replacement for one. If you’re choosing between hiring a credentialer + software vs. outsourcing, the math usually favors outsourcing until you’re at 8+ providers.
